It's the tiny things...

So I was walking through the shed, going to get some firewood, when I stumbled across a log. I looked down, and good thing I did, I saw a cluster (or cespitose) of little mushrooms!!! I was so exited I had to grab my camera right away, 

Even though these photos are from some weeks back, I didn't want to upload them until I was able to  identify the fungi. I believe these are Coprinus disseminatus, commonly know as "fairy inkcap". It's crazy to think that if I took one step further I would have crushed them. It was a nice reminder of the importance of taking the time to look at the details to not only full enjoy the present but also because you never know what might await you.
